Frequently asked questions about Purrfect Dominion

Here we answer the questions we get most often from people about to start: how to get in, what it costs, what happens when you close the page and how to play together with others. If you are looking for a step-by-step explanation of the mechanics, you will find it in the full guide; for advanced tactics there is the strategies page.

What kind of game is Purrfect Dominion?

It is a pixel-art strategy city builder set in a world of cats, corgis and capybaras. You build a town, produce resources, train troops and expand across a map shared with other players.

The pace is designed for people who play a little but often: production keeps going while the game is closed, and when you come back you find a summary of what happened while you were away.

Do I have to sign up to play?

No. With the “Play now” button you enter the game as a guest, with no email and no password: your city is created on the spot and you can start building in a few seconds.

Linking your account to an email or to Google is for when you want to find your empire on another device, claim invite rewards or make purchases. Linking keeps all the progress you have already made as a guest.

Do I play in the browser, or do I need an app?

You play straight from the browser, on computer and on phone, with nothing to install. On mobile you can add the game to your home screen and it behaves like a normal full-screen app.

Native packages for Android and iOS also exist, and they load the same game: there is only one empire, whichever way you get in.

Is the game free? What do you pay for?

The whole game can be played for free: no content is locked behind a mandatory payment, and there is no energy system that stops you after a few minutes.

Optional purchases cover Crystal Paws (the premium currency used to speed up construction, research and healing) and the monthly VIP subscription, which gives convenience perks. Full prices are on the prices page.

What are Crystal Paws and how do I get them?

They are the realm's rare currency. They are mostly used to skip waits: finish a construction right away, complete a research, heal wounded troops or reclaim a new ring of land.

You earn them for free through quests, achievements, the daily reward, the wheel of fortune and tournaments. You can also buy them, but you do not need to in order to progress.

Can I be attacked while I am offline?

Yes, the world is shared and other players' marches arrive even when you are not in front of the screen. That is why the Scratching Barricade and your guard troops matter as much as production.

Losses are never permanent: wounded troops are healed at the Cat Café, and stolen resources have a cap, so a defeat slows you down but does not wipe out your game.

What happens if I change device?

If you have linked your account with email or Google, just sign in: your empire follows you, because all progress is saved on the server and not on the device.

If you play as a guest and have not linked your account, a new, empty city is created on a new device. This is the main reason to link your account early.

Which languages is it available in?

The game is available in Italian and English. If you pick nothing, it starts in English, or in Italian if your browser or your country suggests it.

You can change the language at any time with the language selector, and your choice is kept on this device.

How do alliances and chat work?

Alliances bring several governors together: you share information, coordinate defences and take part in seasonal events together.

Chat is open to guests too, with a light anti-spam limit. Any message can be reported with the 🚩 button if it breaks the code of conduct.

I found a problem: how do I report it?

There is a feedback button inside the game: bugs, suggestions and content reports come straight to us from there.

For other players' misbehaviour, use the report button next to their name in the chat or in the world list instead.
