Purrfect Dominion news

The game grows week after week. Here you will find the update log, with the most important news explained simply: what changes in the city, what changes on the map and what changes for people who play a little but often. If you have just arrived, start with the full guide.

Bigger text, fewer things at once: thanks to everyone who tried the game

We asked people who had never played to tell us the truth, and they did: text too small, too many windows at once, streaks across the screen that were annoying. They were right about all of it. This update fixes the first minute of play.

  • Larger text everywhere, and in Settings you can choose the interface size (S, M, L, XL).
  • You can pinch to zoom on tabs and panels too, not just on the map.
  • Weather effects are turned off: if you liked them, you can switch them back on in Settings.
  • On large screens the city fills the space instead of sitting in the middle.
  • New players see only a few things at a time: Army, World and Research show up when the guide takes you there, and the rest comes later.
  • Welcome in three steps instead of six, and the faction choice comes after the guide, once you know what you are choosing.
  • If you want everything right away, you can skip the guide and unlock it all.
  • On big screens the interface now grows by itself, and you can change the text size from the city menu.
  • The first empty plot offers four buildings instead of ten: the others arrive as the guide goes on.
  • The faction is no longer imposed on you: choose it when you want, knowing what it means.
  • The light rays and fog drifting over the city are off by default: switch them back on from the city menu.
  • The first empty plot marks the recommended building, and the guide tells you why each step matters.
  • On phones the guide steps aside when you open a plot, and nothing covers the menu anymore.
  • Skipping the guide asks you first, and the extra features arrive one at a time, not all at once.
  • On phones the map keeps its size even after the guide: notices float over it instead of pushing it down.
  • Bigger buttons in the guide, and the construction card lives in the panel instead of over the map.
  • The Guide and FAQ pages are now in English too, and when you come back only one window opens at a time.
  • The Town Hall now goes up to level 18, so the high-level buildings can actually be reached. Building cards at max level now say so clearly: no more โ€œLv 12 โ†’ 13โ€ when there is no next level.

Hourly quests, permanent achievements and realm happiness

The pace of play changes: besides the daily and weekly quests, there are quick goals that renew every hour, made for short sessions. Achievements look at the long run instead, and reward the lifetime totals of all your games.

  • Hourly quests with short goals and resource rewards.
  • Permanent achievements for construction, training, marches and research.
  • Happiness bonus: small rewards while you stay in the city, with a daily cap.
  • New achievements page, reachable from the quests.

Wheel of fortune, advisor and dynamic weather

One spin of the wheel a day, an advisor that always points to the next useful move, and weather that changes every three hours and affects production, building and march speed.

  • Daily wheel with eight prizes, awarded and checked on the server.
  • Advisor in the city: suggests a construction, training, research or march.
  • Realm weather with visual effects and temporary bonuses.

Daily chest, welcome-back summary and notifications

If you come back after a few hours, you find a summary of what happened while you were away, and if you complete all of the day's quests you open a chest at the end of the day.

  • End-of-day chest with biscuits, wood, iron and Crystal Paws.
  • A โ€œwelcome backโ€ screen with the resources collected, completed buildings and trained troops.
  • Optional notifications when construction, training or research finishes.
  • Preview of tomorrow's daily reward.

A sturdier economy and your balances kept safe

A deep overhaul of the economy: Crystal Paws live only on the server, with a traceable ledger of every movement, and purchases are attributed from the player's session, not from the browser.

  • Server-authoritative Crystal Paws wallet and ledger.
  • Market that actually holds the goods: nobody sells what they don't own.
  • Checks on the city save against tampered values.

Shared world, alliances and chat

The map fills up: other players, real-time marches, alliances with their own chat, and private messages.

  • World map with exploration, gathering and attacks.
  • Alliances with roles, an emblem and a private chat channel.
  • Detailed battle reports and protective shields.
